Alejandro Garnacho’s time at Manchester United appears to be coming to an end following the latest update on his future.
Earlier this summer, the Manchester Evening News reported that Ruben Amorim told Garnacho he was free to seek a new club. The decision came after the winger openly expressed his frustration at being left out of the starting lineup for the club’s Europa League final loss to Tottenham.
Chelsea have since shown interest in the winger and are now eager to finalise a deal before the September 1 deadline. In a new update by Fabrizio Romano, he claims the Blues have ‘stepped up’ their interest for the Argentinian and talks between clubs are ‘well underway.’

Garnacho’s preference is reportedly to remain in the Premier League while also being keen on a move to Chelsea ‘only.’ Personal terms with the west Londoners have reportedly already been agreed but talks are now reportedly focussed on the transfer fee.
Romano adds that he is ‘set’ to become a Chelsea player this summer.
A departure for Garnacho would make him the second player to leave Old Trafford out of the five who informed the club of their wish to depart at the beginning of summer. Marcus Rashford left United on loan for Barcelona last month.
The futures of Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia are yet to be resolved. Antony is keen on a return to Real Betis, where he enjoyed a career renaissance, with reports from Spain claiming Betis are confident of re-signing the Brazilian.

Sancho, meanwhile, has reportedly attracted interest from AS Roma, Juventus, and Inter Milan while Malacia spent the second half of last season on loan at PSV, but the Dutch club did not exercise their option to make the move permanent.
He has been spotted training at non-league club Trafford FC, who play in the Northern Premier League Division One West after Amorim axed the left-back from his first-team squad.
