
The 21-year-old completed a switch from Old Trafford on Saturday and was at Stamford Bridge to watch his new team-mates secure a deserved 2-0 victory over west London neighbours Fulham.
‘I have a winning mentality and I have passion and a big personality,’ Garnacho said after completing his switch. ‘It’s a natural fit with a club like Chelsea, which have just won the Club World Cup. Chelsea are at the top now, and it’s important to fight for the club like the fans deserve.’
The Argentine international began training at Cobham this week and could make his debut when we make the short trip to Brentford on Saturday 13 September.
And if Garnacho is handed his Chelsea bow at Gtech Community Stadium, he will do so wearing the No.49 shirt.
It is the same number he wore during his first two seasons in the Manchester United first team.
